Terroir

The Rully En Guesnes Wadana cuvée from Domaine Vincent Dureuil-Janthial is crafted from an argilo-limestone terroir in the Côte Chalonnaise. Sourced from two parcels located near Meix Cadot, the vines are planted with old Pinot Noir vines, some over 70 years old. Hand-harvested with great care, each bunch is cut individually to preserve fruit integrity. This precise and traditional approach allows for a pure expression of terroir and vine age.

Tasting Notes

Vinification & Aging:
Vinification follows traditional Burgundian methods, with a cold pre-fermentation maceration and alcoholic fermentation in open vats. The wine is aged in oak barrels, partially new, for approximately 12 to 18 months, adding structure, depth, and aromatic complexity.

Palate & Finish:
The wine reveals aromas of ripe red fruits, complemented by spicy notes and subtle hints of undergrowth. On the palate, the texture is silky, with well-integrated tannins and a refined balance. The finish is long and harmonious, highlighting the wine’s finesse, depth, and excellent aging potential.
