Harlan Estate — Oakville, Napa Valley

Founded in 1984 by Bill Harlan, a visionary and passionate entrepreneur, Harlan Estate is now considered one of California’s greatest wine estates. Nestled in the hills of Oakville in Napa Valley, the estate was born from a dream — to create a wine that could rival Bordeaux First Growths while expressing the singularity of Californian terroir.

Since the late 2010s, Will Harlan, the founder’s son, has taken over leadership, carrying forward the pursuit of excellence with the same rigor and a vision focused on precision and sustainability.

• Vineyards: around 40 ha planted, facing southwest.
• Altitude: from 68 to 370 meters.
• Soils: clay, limestone, and volcanic rock, favoring complexity and natural concentration.
• Climate: tempered microclimate typical of Napa Valley.

This exceptional terroir allows the production of wines with great depth, elegance, and refined power.

Each plot is vinified separately, followed by meticulous blending to achieve perfect harmony between power, structure, and finesse. The wine is aged in 100% new French oak barrels for about 24 months, followed by extended bottle aging before release.

Harlan Estate
The estate’s flagship wine — a global icon of American fine wine. A red of remarkable depth, with aromas of blackcurrant, graphite, truffle, dark chocolate, and spices, carried by a silky texture and phenomenal length. Iconic vintages such as 1994, 2001, 2007, 2013, and 2018 have earned 100/100 Parker scores.

The Maiden
The estate’s second wine, crafted from younger vines. More approachable in its youth, The Maiden is produced with the same rigor and mirrors the elegance and depth of the Harlan style.
