Located in the heart of Malans in the Bündner Herrschaft (Grisons), Weingut Donatsch has been a cornerstone of fine Swiss wine for more than a century. In the 1970s, visionary winemaker Thomas Donatsch revolutionized the region by introducing Burgundian barriques and importing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay clones from Burgundy.

Today, Martin Donatsch continues this legacy with remarkable precision, crafting wines of great depth, elegance, and unmistakable terroir expression.

Terroir

The vineyards are planted on well-exposed, wind-swept slopes of limestone and schist. An Alpine-Mediterranean microclimate, strong diurnal temperature shifts, and controlled yields result in wines of vibrant freshness, precise aromatics, and impressive ageing potential.
