Swiss Pinot Noir with Burgundian elegance
Located in Cressier, at the heart of the Neuchâtel vineyards, Domaine de la Rochette has been run since 1999 by Jacques Tatasciore, a discreet yet key figure in Swiss wine. The estate’s 6 hectares, planted at around 450 meters altitude, flourish on Jurassic limestone soils reminiscent of Burgundy.
The domaine focuses almost exclusively on Pinot Noir, working with old massale selections from vines aged 35 to 70 years, producing wines of remarkable finesse and depth.
Soils: thin limestone, south-east exposure, overlooking Lake Neuchâtel.
Viticulture: sustainable practices, hand-harvesting, strict selection.
Winemaking: indigenous yeasts, French oak ageing, pursuit of purity and elegance.
Style: wines marked by freshness, tension and refinement, often compared to Burgundy’s finest.
Pinot Noir “Les Margiles” – iconic cuvée, among the greatest Swiss Pinots.
Pinot Noir “Les Rissieux” – intense, structured and expressive.
Pinot Noir “Les Chanez” – rare and highly sought-after.
Vieilles Vignes Pinot Noir – a blend of parcels, the domaine’s DNA in a bottle.
Confidential Chardonnay – produced in limited vintages.
Domaine de la Rochette stands as a benchmark for Swiss Pinot Noir. With rare cuvées born from exceptional limestone terroirs, it has gained international acclaim among wine connoisseurs. Each bottle combines Swiss precision and Burgundian elegance.
