Terroir

The Chapitre climat is one of the most respected Premier Cru sites in Rully. Ideally located on well-exposed slopes, it rests on limestone and marl-limestone soils that are particularly well suited to Pinot Noir, giving wines of finesse, structure and freshness.

Domaine Dureuil-Janthial, a benchmark producer of the appellation, crafts wines of precision and balance. The 2018 vintage, warm and generous, brings ripe fruit and roundness, beautifully balanced by the natural tension of the terroir, resulting in a harmonious and expressive Premier Cru.

Tasting notes

Nose:
Elegant and precise, with aromas of fresh red berries (cherry, raspberry), wild strawberry, complemented by floral notes, gentle spices and a subtle mineral touch.

Palate & Finish:
The palate is silky and well-structured, supported by fine, polished tannins and lively freshness. The balance between fruit, acidity and texture is excellent. The long, elegant and slightly saline finish extends the wine with poise. A refined Rully Premier Cru with excellent ageing potential.
