A geologist by training, Jean-Yves Bizot took over the family domaine in 1993. From an initial surface of around 2.5 hectares, the estate now covers approximately 3.5 hectares, including parcels in Vosne-Romanée, Marsannay and the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits.
His work is based on a fine understanding of soils, careful observation of the vine and a constant desire to limit intervention. No stylistic effect dominates: the aim is to produce free, precise wines deeply rooted in their place of origin.

No exogenous yeasts are added, and sulphur is avoided during vinification in order to preserve the most direct expression of the grape and terroir.
