History: a discreet artisan turned cult figure

Trained as a geologist, Jean-Yves Bizot took over the family domaine in 1993. From an extremely small original holding, the estate now covers only a few hectares, with parcels in Vosne-Romanée, Marsannay, Chenôve and the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits.

His work is based on a deep understanding of soils, careful observation of the vine and a constant desire to limit intervention. Nothing is demonstrative: the aim is to produce free, precise wines, profoundly rooted in their place of origin.
