Terroir
Located in the southern Côte Chalonnaise, Le Meix Cadot lies on gently sloping, east-facing hillsides of clay and limestone. The site benefits from excellent sun exposure and natural ventilation, yielding Chardonnay grapes of outstanding finesse and purity. Under Vincent Dureuil-Janthial’s meticulous organic farming, the vineyard expresses its full mineral depth and crystalline precision — hallmarks of this renowned Premier Cru.
Tasting Notes
The bouquet reveals white flowers, ripe lemon, and fresh almond, lifted by a hint of wet stone. The palate is precise, tense, and elegant, balancing minerality with refined texture and gentle volume. The finish is long, saline, and subtly nutty, echoing notes of candied citrus and toasted hazelnut. A luminous and harmonious white Burgundy, already superb yet capable of graceful ageing for 5 to 10 years.
