Arbois — Wine Capital of the Jura and a Historic Appellation

Located in eastern France at the heart of the Jura region, Arbois is one of the area’s most emblematic appellations. Established in 1936, it is among the very first French AOCs, a symbol of the Jura’s deep-rooted winemaking heritage. Named after the town of Arbois — the true wine capital of the Jura — the appellation covers around 800 hectares across 13 communes.

The terroir of Arbois is built on limestone marl soils, typical of the Jura, which impart a subtle minerality and beautiful tension to the wines.
