Domaine Delaporte, based in Chavignol, is renowned for its terroir-focused Sancerre wines. The parcel “Le Cul de Beaujeu” is one of the most esteemed sites in the appellation, planted on steep slopes of Kimmeridgian limestone (marnes kimméridgiennes), rich in fossilized marine sediments that impart tension, minerality, and aging potential.

Made from Pinot Noir, the wine reflects a Burgundian sensibility within the Loire Valley. Careful vineyard management and hand harvesting ensure optimal ripeness. Vinification emphasizes finesse, with gentle extraction and aging in a combination of tank and oak barrels to enhance texture while preserving purity. The 2022 vintage, warm yet balanced, delivers ripe fruit supported by vibrant freshness.
