Cheval des Andes 2016 – Magnum
A great Argentine terroir wine combining Bordeaux elegance with Andean power
Terroir & Winemaking
Cheval des Andes was born from the partnership between Château Cheval Blanc (Premier Grand Cru Classé A of Saint-Émilion) and Terrazas de los Andes. The vineyards are located in Luján de Cuyo, in the Mendoza region, at the foothills of the Andes, benefiting from altitude, strong sunlight and well-drained soils.
The 2016 vintage is a blend dominated by Malbec, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. Grapes are hand-harvested and aged in French oak barrels, with a constant focus on balance, finesse and precise expression of terroir.
