"The 2000 Finca Altamira has an open knit bouquet with scents of wild strawberry, cranberry, chalk dust plus a touch of mocha; aromatics that together are sedate and pure. With aeration there are hints of orange blossom emerging. The palate is medium-bodied with soft supple tannins and toffee-tinged red fruit tinged with graphite. There is fine delineation towards the finish with fine harmony and minerality underneath. (...)"
