Reserva Malbec 2009 — Bodega Colomé
This Reserva Malbec 2009 from Bodega Colomé, offered here in a case of 6 bottles, expresses the depth and intensity of high-altitude Malbec from northern Argentina. The wine combines ripe dark fruit, mountain freshness, spicy structure and generous substance, in a style that is dense, expressive and distinctly shaped by its Andean origin.
Terroir: Salta, Andean altitude and the intensity of Malbec
Located in the Calchaquí Valleys in north-western Argentina, Bodega Colomé benefits from extreme growing conditions: high altitude, intense sunlight, a dry climate and wide temperature variation between day and night. These elements allow full ripeness while preserving the natural freshness that balances the richness of Malbec.
The 2009 vintage now offers an evolved expression, with melted dark fruit, softened tannins and deeper complexity around spices, cocoa, fine leather and earthy notes. The case of 6 bottles offers the opportunity to follow the evolution of a great Argentine wine now entering a beautiful stage of maturity.
