Cheval des Andes 2021

Born from the partnership between Château Cheval Blanc and Terrazas de los Andes, Cheval des Andes 2021 represents one of the most accomplished expressions of fine wine in South America. Inspired by the elegance and balance of the great wines of Saint-Émilion while embracing the identity of Mendoza's high-altitude vineyards, it offers a distinctive interpretation of Malbec with remarkable depth, freshness and precision.

Widely regarded as one of Argentina's finest recent vintages, 2021 delivered ideal growing conditions that allowed the fruit to ripen slowly while preserving vibrant acidity. The result is a wine of exceptional harmony, combining generous concentration with outstanding freshness and remarkable ageing potential.

The finest terroirs of Mendoza

Cheval des Andes is crafted from carefully selected vineyards in Las Compuertas and Paraje Altamira, two of Mendoza's most celebrated wine-growing areas. Located between 1,000 and 1,200 metres above sea level, these vineyards benefit from cool nights, abundant sunshine and alluvial soils that produce wines of remarkable purity, freshness and aromatic definition.

The blend is led by Malbec, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, following the philosophy established by Château Cheval Blanc. Ageing in French oak barrels refines the wine's structure while preserving the vibrancy of the fruit and the distinctive character of the Andean terroirs.
