Château Mouton Rothschild 1995 — Pauillac

This Château Mouton Rothschild 1995 offers a noble, deep and superbly structured expression of Pauillac. As one of the Médoc’s emblematic First Growths, Mouton Rothschild delivers in this classical and distinguished vintage a wine of great stature, shaped by the power of Cabernet Sauvignon, the distinction of deep gravel soils and remarkable ageing capacity.

The 1995 vintage now develops a complex profile of blackcurrant, blackberry, dark cherry, cedar, graphite, blond tobacco, pencil lead, liquorice, cocoa, fine leather, sweet spices and notes of undergrowth. The palate is broad, dense and structured, with tannins now more polished, fine freshness and a long, mineral and deeply Médoc finish. It is a classical, serious and majestic Mouton, both mature and still full of presence.

Terroir: Pauillac, deep gravel soils and the nobility of Cabernet Sauvignon

The great gravel rises of Pauillac provide Cabernet Sauvignon with an ideal setting to express structure, aromatic depth and long ageing capacity. At Château Mouton Rothschild, this identity gives rise to powerful, precise and long-lived wines, combining dark fruit, mineral freshness, noble tannins and a clearly defined Médoc character. The 1995 vintage highlights this classical and architectural dimension of the estate, with depth that continues to gain refinement over time.

Expression of the 1995 vintage
