Malanser Pinot Noir 2020 (Magnum) – Studach
A benchmark Swiss Pinot Noir, combining precision, elegance, and remarkable terroir expression
Terroir
Sourced from the village of Malans in the canton of Graubünden, this Pinot Noir is produced by Thomas Studach, one of Switzerland’s most respected winemakers. The vineyards lie on steep, well-drained soils composed mainly of limestone, slate, and gravel. The Alpine climate, with warm days and cool nights, ensures slow, even ripening, preserving freshness and aromatic precision. Vinified with minimal intervention and bottled unfiltered, this wine reflects a pure and authentic expression of Malans terroir. The magnum format enhances balance, finesse, and aging potential.
Tasting Notes

Palate & Finish:
The palate is silky, precise, and beautifully balanced, with fine-grained tannins and vibrant acidity. The texture is elegant and transparent, allowing the terroir to shine through. The finish is long, pure, and harmonious, underscoring the wine’s excellent aging potential and its status as one of the great Pinot Noirs of Switzerland.
