Château Pape Clément 2010
A profound Pessac-Léognan: power, vibrant fruit and smoky elegance
Terroir
Château Pape Clément is one of the emblematic estates of Pessac-Léognan. Its vineyard, located just outside Bordeaux, lies on gravel soils mixed with clay and sand, producing wines that are structured, deep and marked by the smoky signature typical of the finest Graves terroirs.
The 2010 vintage is a great Bordeaux year, defined by full ripeness, freshness and remarkable ageing structure. At Pape Clément, it produced a dense and ambitious wine, driven by the power of Cabernet Sauvignon, the roundness of Merlot and deep aromatic intensity, while retaining the balance and tension that define the finest Pessac-Léognan wines.
Tasting notes
Nose:
The bouquet may reveal intense notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, black plum, cedar, graphite, tobacco, sweet spices and cold smoke. The whole expression is deep, precise and marked by noble aromatic complexity.
Palate & Finish:
The palate is broad, structured and concentrated, with firm yet polished tannins, generous substance and freshness that balances the richness of the vintage. The finish lingers on dark fruit, graphite, spice, tobacco and an elegant smoky imprint, offering a powerful, refined Pessac-Léognan built for ageing.
