This cuvée is crafted exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay grown in the village of Oiry, at the northern edge of the Côte des Blancs. The vines are rooted in shallow, intensely chalky soils resting on soft, friable chalk that gives the wine its signature saline, linear and taut expression. The hallmark “Suenen touch” comes from a precise, low-intervention, parcel-based approach designed to transmit the terroir’s mineral purity, cool freshness and the northern winds that shape this distinctive landscape.

Tasting Notes

Nose:
“Oiry” shines through its crystalline expression of terroir and striking aromatic purity. The bouquet opens with poached pear, lime zest and wet chalk, followed by hints of lightly toasted hazelnut and a gentle touch of licorice. The aromatic profile is refined, airy and beautifully precise.

Palate & Finish:
The palate delivers intense freshness, carried by a delicately chalky, cloud-like texture. Volume remains perfectly controlled, lifted by a finely etched acidity that structures the wine without sharpness. The very fine bubbles support a luminous, mouthwatering finish, echoing citrus, chalk and white fruit. A superbly precise Blanc de Blancs, highly recommended for lovers of saline, mineral-driven Champagne.
