Terroir

The Hommage à Jacques Perrin cuvée is crafted from the oldest vines of Château de Beaucastel, with a strong dominance of Mourvèdre, complemented by the other traditional varieties of the appellation. Some parcels are very old and planted on the iconic galets roulés over deep clay soils, providing structure, power and consistent water supply. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, respecting the natural balance of the terroir.

Tasting Notes

Colour & Nose:
Deep colour with garnet hues. The nose is complex and nuanced, showing dark fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), spice, garrigue, forest floor, with hints of leather and truffle.

Palate & Finish:
The palate is ample and structured, displaying great harmony, with dense yet perfectly integrated tannins. The wine stands out for its balance and relative freshness for the appellation. The finish is long, elegant and persistent, pointing to an excellent ageing potential.
