Nine Centuries of Shaped Climats
Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest and most prestigious domaines in Burgundy. Over nearly three centuries, the house has patiently built a unique heritage of more than 130 hectares, including 12 ha of Grands Crus and 74 ha of Premiers Crus, spread across the greatest terroirs of the Côte d’Or. The beating heart of the estate lies in the Château de Beaune, a former 15th-century royal fortress, now a natural aging cellar that houses some of the oldest Burgundy vintages still preserved — with bottles dating back to 1846.
Terroir & Vineyard
- Exceptional parcels between Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, vinified plot by plot.
- Iconic climats: Chevalier-Montrachet, Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne, Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus, Volnay Caillerets, Clos de Vougeot…
- Farming under integrated viticulture, careful soil work, deep respect for the vegetative cycle.
Style & Winemaking
- Whites: tense, mineral, precise — Reds: refined, complex, with pure fruit.
- Fermentation in small containers with a carefully measured use of oak (20–40% new barrels depending on the cuvée).
- Winemaking focused on elegance, aromatic precision, and age-worthiness.

Philosophy
At Bouchard, each climat is treated as a lens through which its place can speak. The goal is not to dominate the terroir but to accompany it: meticulous vinification, precise aging, and patient release make each cuvée a faithful expression of time and land.
