The best of the 1995 vintage are wines for aging. They will age for a long time but will take a long time to assert themselves.
In Bordeaux, the greatest successes are found in Pomerol, Pauillac, and Saint-Julien.
In white Burgundy, it is the greatest vintage after 1989. The best producers offer mature, rich, complex, and precise wines. In red, the vintage also performed well. It is very good, even excellent, for the wines of the Côte de Nuits (the Côte de Beaune suffered from rot).
In Champagne, the 1995 vintage can be rated from good to very good (but not exceptional).
It is a relatively expensive vintage, both as futures and in bottle. However, the rating of the 1995s has not evolved much.
