Château Gruaud Larose 1976 — Saint-Julien
This Château Gruaud Larose 1976 offers the singular charm of a great Bordeaux now at full maturity. From one of Saint-Julien’s most historic estates, it now expresses an evolved, classic and deeply Médocain style, shaped by tertiary notes, the finesse of melted fruit and the nobility of a structure softened by time.
Terroir: Saint-Julien, classical structure and Bordeaux maturity
Located in the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, Château Gruaud Larose is renowned for producing deep, structured wines with a long capacity for evolution. The Médoc gravel soils favour the expression of Cabernet Sauvignon, giving wines that combine firmness, elegance and remarkable aromatic persistence.
The 1976 vintage, now fully evolved, is expressed above all through complexity: dried red fruits, cedar, tobacco, undergrowth, fine leather and sweet spices. At this stage, the wine favours finesse, nuance and the charm of mature great Bordeaux.
