Pinot Noir Eichholz 2016 — Irène Grünenfelder
This Pinot Noir Eichholz 2016 from Irène Grünenfelder embodies a rare, fine and deeply elegant expression of Pinot Noir from Graubünden. From the Bündner Herrschaft, one of Switzerland’s most renowned terroirs for this grape variety, it combines Alpine freshness, pure fruit and delicate texture in a distinguished, precise and beautifully nuanced style.
The 2016 vintage now offers a harmonious and delicately evolved profile: red cherry, Morello cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, old rose, violet, fine spices, black tea, delicate forest floor, fresh earth and a subtle mineral touch. The wine favours finesse, aromatic transparency and length rather than power, with a silky, fresh and perfectly balanced palate.
A great Swiss Pinot Noir of finesse, purity and elegant maturity. Eichholz 2016 seduces through its time-polished red fruit, silky texture, Alpine freshness and floral, spicy and mineral finish. A rare, subtle and refined cuvée, gracefully illustrating the potential of the finest Pinot Noirs from Graubünden.
Terroir: Graubünden, Alpine freshness and Pinot Noir precision
The vineyards of Graubünden offer Pinot Noir a cool, luminous environment ideally suited to the most refined expressions of the grape. Alpine influences, temperature contrasts and well-drained soils encourage wines that are elegant, precise and aromatically pure. At Irène Grünenfelder, this identity translates into a chiselled, delicate Pinot Noir of great transparency.
