Domaine de Trévallon Rouge 2016 — Jeroboam OWC
This Domaine de Trévallon Rouge 2016, offered here in jeroboam 3 L and in its original wooden case, embodies one of the most singular and sought-after expressions of southern French wine. From the Alpilles, this great red traditionally combines Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, in a Mediterranean, structured, profound and immediately recognisable style.
The 2016 vintage offers a remarkable balance between ripeness, freshness and precision: cassis, blackberry, black cherry, plum, garrigue, thyme, bay leaf, black pepper, liquorice, cocoa, fine leather, black olive, warm earth and graphite. The jeroboam format encourages slower evolution, preserves the wine’s freshness and strongly reinforces the collector appeal of this rare bottle.
A great Provençal red of character, depth and ageing potential, where Mediterranean ripeness remains perfectly balanced by limestone freshness and noble structure. Trévallon 2016 combines black fruit, spices, garrigue, fine leather and smoky notes, with a broad, straight and persistent palate. In jeroboam OWC, this cuvée gains a rare and particularly prestigious dimension.
Terroir: the Alpilles, Provençal light and limestone freshness
Domaine de Trévallon belongs to a unique landscape at the foot of the Alpilles, on stony limestone soils exposed to southern light. This combination gives wines that are solar, profound and remarkably fresh. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah blend brings a rare personality: structure, black fruits, spices, Mediterranean herbs and strong ageing capacity.

Expression of the 2016 vintage
The 2016 vintage in southern France stands out for its fine balance between ripeness, freshness and structure. At Trévallon, this year gives a profound, precise and harmonious red, capable of gaining complexity around notes of leather, garrigue, spices, forest floor, black olive and time-polished black fruits. In jeroboam, evolution will be particularly slow and noble.
In summary: a profound, balanced and beautifully presented Domaine de Trévallon 2016 in jeroboam OWC, driven by the unique personality of the Alpilles, the nobility of the Cabernet-Syrah blend and the rare character of the large format.
Food pairing: roast lamb with herbs, rib of beef, gardiane de taureau, duck, game birds, confit vegetables, refined Provençal cuisine or mature cheeses.
