Corton Clos du Roi is one of the most historic and prestigious climats of the Corton Grand Cru, located on the hill of Corton above Aloxe-Corton, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune. Traditionally reserved for the French crown, this east-facing vineyard rests on iron-rich limestone and marl soils, lending the wine both power and precision. The combination of noble geology, optimal exposure, and old vines allows Pinot Noir to express depth, structure, and a distinctive mineral backbone, producing wines of great authority and long aging potential.

Tasting Notes

Nose / Aromatics:
The nose opens with aromas of black cherry and blackberry, complemented by subtle smoky nuances, hints of licorice, and a distinctive crushed-stone minerality. The bouquet is refined, complex, and quietly expressive.
