Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut — Magnum 1.5 L with Gift Box
The Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut in magnum with gift box embodies the historic style of Maison Bollinger: a Champagne that is generous, structured, deep and unmistakably gastronomic. More vinous than many non-vintage Brut Champagnes, it stands out for its richness of texture, aromatic complexity and balance between power and freshness.
Presented here in magnum 1.5 L, Special Cuvée gains even more presence and elegance. The large format encourages slower development, finer mousse integration and an even greater sense of depth. With its gift box, this is an ideal bottle for a fine table, a thoughtful gift or a special occasion built around a Champagne with real personality.
Terroir and blend
Bollinger Special Cuvée is built around a blend dominated by Pinot Noir, which accounts for around 60% of the cuvée, completed by 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier. This Pinot Noir dominance gives the wine its structure, breadth and depth, while Chardonnay brings tension, finesse and chalky lift.
The cuvée includes a high proportion of fruit from Grand Cru and Premier Cru villages, as well as an important share of reserve wines, some of which are kept in magnum for several years. This approach gives the wine added complexity, stylistic consistency and that instantly recognisable Bollinger signature: substance, energy, length and character.
Tasting notes
The colour is bright golden, animated by a fine and steady mousse. The nose opens with ripe apple, pear, peach, preserved citrus and dried fruits, before developing richer notes of brioche, hazelnut, almond, sweet spice and a light toasted touch.
On the palate, the Champagne is broad, structured and enveloping, with a creamy mousse and lovely tension on the finish. The ripe fruit is supported by a fresh, saline and delicately spiced backbone. In magnum, the wine gains even more depth, poise and harmony, while remaining highly enjoyable and versatile at the table.

Expression of the magnum format
In magnum, Bollinger Special Cuvée takes on a more noble and gastronomic dimension. The wine retains the accessibility and generosity that make it so successful, yet with greater depth, more integrated freshness and finer mousse definition. It is a particularly attractive format for lovers of characterful Champagne, equally suited to an aperitif or a full meal.
Expert reviews
| 93/100 James Suckling JamesSuckling.com | 93/100 Wine Spectator Wine Spectator | 92/100 Jeb Dunnuck JebDunnuck.com |
The critics consistently underline the quality of Bollinger Special Cuvée, particularly its richness of texture, vinous character, balance and complexity for a non-vintage Brut Champagne. The cuvée is especially appreciated for its generosity, fresh finish and distinctive style, more gastronomic than simply aperitif-driven.
