Chambertin Grand Cru 2017 - Domaine Philippe Charlopin-Parizot (magnum, 1.5 l)

Tasting notes

"Strong wood toast and reduction serve as a less than agreeable introduction to the wonderfully intense, detailed and mineral-driven broad-shouldered flavors that are supported by ample mid-palate density and a very firm, and prominent, tannic spine shaping the impressively complex if compact finale. Not surprisingly, this is going to require an extended snooze in a cool cellar before it will be ready for prime time."
