Terroir & Philosophy

Located in Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella Classico, the Giuseppe Quintarelli estate is widely regarded as one of the absolute benchmarks of the appellation. The vineyards are rooted in calcareous and basaltic soils, promoting slow ripening and natural concentration of the grapes.

The blend is based primarily on Corvina and Rondinella, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and other traditional varieties. True to its artisanal philosophy, the estate employs a long appassimento (grape drying process), followed by slow fermentation and extended ageing in large oak casks over several years.

The 2018 vintage, marked by excellent ripeness and firm structure, delivers a powerful yet balanced Amarone, built for long-term cellaring and gradual evolution over time.

Deep and intense, revealing aromas of black cherry, dried plum, and fig, layered with notes of cocoa, tobacco, and sweet spices.
