Terroir & parcels

The Pinoterie Pure cuvée holds a unique place within the universe of Domaine Prieuré Roch. Rather than reflecting a traditional regional Burgundy, it represents a highly distinctive interpretation of Pinot Noir. This special cuvée is crafted from naturally detached berries collected during harvest across different vineyards and fermentation lots, then assembled into a single wine. This almost intuitive selection process results in a Pinot Noir that is both free-spirited, expressive and remarkably refined.

The estate follows a demanding philosophy rooted in organic and biodynamic viticulture, with minimal intervention in the cellar to preserve the intrinsic energy and purity of the fruit. In this Pure version, the approach goes even further, delivering a raw, vibrant and unadorned expression of the grape.

The 2017 vintage proved particularly well suited to this style. In Burgundy, it produced harmonious and expressive wines, defined by precise fruit, freshness and supple tannins. For such a sensitive cuvée, the excellent fruit quality allowed for a wine that is immediately appealing, yet layered with texture and personality.
