Domaine Maxime Renaudin – Ambitious Youth & Languedoc Authenticity
A young estate driven by passion
Founded in 2018, Domaine Maxime Renaudin is located in Jonquières, at the heart of the Hérault region. After several formative experiences alongside renowned winemakers, Maxime Renaudin established his own estate with the ambition to craft wines of character — true reflections of Languedoc’s rich terroir and a meticulous artisanal approach.
Mediterranean terroirs
The vineyard covers around 5 hectares of clay-limestone soils surrounding Jonquières. The varied exposures ensure optimal ripeness while preserving natural freshness.
Plantings are dominated by Carignan (40%), Grenache (30%), and Syrah (30%) — three emblematic Languedoc varieties that reveal remarkable depth and balance in this terroir.
Respectful and demanding viticulture
Vineyard work is guided by respect for nature and precision in every gesture. Manual harvesting, careful sorting, and parcel-by-parcel vinifications highlight the individuality of each plot. The estate practices low-intervention viticulture, close to organic principles though without formal certification, favoring authenticity over labeling.
Tailored winemaking & aging
Grapes are fully destemmed before vinification. Each variety is fermented separately to preserve its aromatic identity, then the wines are aged for about 24 months in French oak barrels before final blending. This long maturation adds texture and complexity while maintaining a pure and expressive fruit profile.
Signature style: depth & Mediterranean freshness
The wines display expressive aromas of ripe black fruits (blackberry, black cherry), wild herbs (thyme, rosemary), and peppery spices, underlined by a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, southern power meets refined freshness, supported by silky tannins and long persistence. These wines are charming in their youth yet possess aging potential of 10 to 20 years, depending on the vintage.
Signature cuvées
IGP Pays de l’Hérault Rouge – A Syrah-Carignan-Grenache blend, the estate’s flagship cuvée, combining richness, balance, and elegant oak integration.
Carignan – A micro-cuvée introduced in 2021, offering a pure and vivid expression of the Languedoc’s most historic grape.
Tradition – A recent cuvée (since 2022) embodying the estate’s spirit: balance, authenticity, and aromatic depth.
