Domaine Maxime Renaudin – Pays d’Hérault 2022
A generous and sun-kissed red from the Hérault, expressing Mediterranean character through ripe fruit, supple texture, and aromatic notes of garrigue and spice.
Terroir & Winemaking
Produced in Combaillaux, north of Montpellier, Domaine Maxime Renaudin benefits from a Mediterranean climate tempered by cooling breezes from the nearby Cévennes. The vineyards are planted on limestone and clay soils with rolled pebbles, promoting good drainage while retaining sufficient moisture to sustain the vines during dry summers.
The wine is typically crafted from southern French varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, chosen for their ability to thrive in warm conditions while preserving balance. Vinification emphasizes fruit purity with controlled extractions and moderate aging in tank or oak, aiming to produce a harmonious, approachable wine that reflects its terroir. The 2022 vintage, marked by warm and dry conditions, delivers excellent ripeness and supple tannins.
