Lucente 2014 — Luce della Vite, Magnum OWC
This Lucente 2014 from Luce della Vite, offered here in magnum and in its original wooden case, embodies an elegant and accessible expression of the modern Tuscan fine wine style. As the second wine of Luce, it combines the depth of Merlot with the energy of Sangiovese, in a balance of ripe fruit, suppleness, freshness and Mediterranean character.
The 2014 vintage offers a fresher and more classical profile than the most solar years: black cherry, red plum, blackberry, raspberry, violet, blond tobacco, cocoa, sweet spices, fine leather, Mediterranean herbs and fresh earth. The magnum format encourages slower evolution and gives this bottle particular appeal as a Tuscan wine now entering a fine phase of maturity.
A supple, refined and already evolved Tuscan red, where time-polished black fruit mingles with spices, tobacco, delicate leather and garrigue-like notes. Lucente 2014 now favours balance, finesse and the charm of evolution rather than pure power.
Terroir: Tuscany, Mediterranean ripeness and altitude freshness
The terroirs of Luce della Vite, located in the Montalcino area, make it possible to combine ripeness, structure and freshness. Lucente reflects the spirit of the estate in a more supple and more immediately accessible expression than Luce, with a blend in which Merlot brings roundness and depth, while Sangiovese contributes drive, spice and freshness.

Expression of the 2014 vintage
The 2014 vintage in Tuscany produced wines that are generally fresher, finer and less solar than the great years of concentration. For Lucente, this freshness translates into an elegant, digestible and already ready-to-drink profile, evolving towards notes of leather, tobacco, spices and time-polished red fruits.
In summary: an elegant, supple and harmoniously evolved Lucente 2014 in magnum OWC, driven by the freshness of the vintage, the charm of Sangiovese and the roundness of Merlot.
Food pairing: osso buco, roast lamb, mushroom pasta, porcini risotto, veal with herbs, aged pecorino or traditional Tuscan cuisine.
