Puligny-Montrachet “Les Enseignères” 2023 – Coche-Dury
A highly sought-after Puligny-Montrachet from Domaine Coche-Dury, sourced from the renowned Les Enseignères vineyard, delivering exceptional purity, precision and mineral energy typical of the finest white Burgundies.
Terroir & parcels
The vineyard Les Enseignères lies in the southern part of the Puligny-Montrachet appellation in the Côte de Beaune, directly bordering some of the village’s most prestigious Grand Cru vineyards, including Bâtard-Montrachet. Its proximity to these legendary sites contributes to the remarkable depth and structure often found in wines from this lieu-dit.
The soils are predominantly composed of limestone mixed with clay and small stones, offering excellent drainage while encouraging deep vine rooting. This terroir is particularly suited to Chardonnay, producing wines with striking mineral tension, aromatic clarity and refined structure.
At Domaine Coche-Dury, vineyard work focuses on low yields and meticulous grape selection. The wine is aged in oak barrels with great precision, allowing the terroir expression and natural freshness of the vintage to shine. The 2023 vintage in Burgundy combines generous ripeness with vibrant acidity, resulting in wines of balance, purity and impressive energy.
