Terroir & parcels

Located in Ladoix, at the crossroads of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, the “Le Cloud” climat benefits from a privileged position at the foot of the Corton hill. This transitional terroir combines finesse and freshness with a slightly richer, more structured profile typical of nearby grand crus.

The soils, composed of limestone marl mixed with clay and scree, provide excellent drainage and allow for a precise expression of Pinot Noir. The vines, averaging around 50 years old, are farmed using biodynamic practices, with low yields and a focus on optimal ripeness.

The 2019 vintage, warm yet balanced, produced perfectly ripe fruit while retaining freshness, resulting in a wine that is both approachable and structured.

Tasting notes

Nose:
Expressive and inviting, with aromas of raspberry, red cherry, and wild strawberry, complemented by floral notes (rose, peony), delicate spices, and a subtle wild edge characteristic of the domaine.

Palate:
Juicy and fluid, with a silky, supple texture. Bright red fruit dominates, supported by lively acidity and fine tannins. The wine shows purity and energy, reflecting a low-intervention winemaking approach.

Finish:
Long, lifted, and vibrant, with lingering red fruit, a touch of noble bitterness, and mineral freshness. Enjoyable young, yet capable of gaining complexity with a few years of aging.
