Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru “Morgeot” 2019 – Domaine Ramonet
Terroir & Tasting Notes
Terroir
Sourced from the historic Morgeot climat, rooted in deep clay-limestone soils that are warm, generous, and beautifully draining. This terroir produces wines of amplitude and mineral depth, with the chalk-driven tension typical of great Chassagne. Under the hand of Ramonet, it gains freshness, precision, and a unique aromatic nobility.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens with ripe white fruits, fine citrus, white flowers, fresh butter, and a characteristic touch of flint smoke. On the palate, the wine displays controlled amplitude, silky texture, and a straight, energetic line of tension, with perfectly integrated oak. The finish is long, mouthwatering, and mineral, marked by chalk and a vibrant citrus lift.
