Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Iteration 23 — Magnum 1.5 L
The Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Iteration 23 in magnum is one of the most accomplished expressions of this emblematic prestige cuvée. Unlike a classic vintage Champagne, Grand Siècle does not aim to express a single year, but to recreate the perfect year through the blending of complementary vintages.
Presented here in magnum 1.5 L, Iteration 23 benefits from extended ageing, giving the wine additional depth, texture and aromatic complexity. The large format allows slower evolution, a more integrated mousse and a particularly refined expression, highly sought after by collectors and lovers of great age-worthy Champagne.
Terroir and blend
Iteration 23 brings together three major Champagne years: 2006 at 65%, 2004 at 20% and 2002 at 15%. Chardonnay dominates the blend with 58%, complemented by 42% Pinot Noir. This composition gives the wine its breadth, precision, depth and remarkable harmony.
The selection comes from 11 of Champagne’s 17 Grand Cru villages, chosen for their complementarity. Chardonnay brings finesse, freshness and chalky lift, while Pinot Noir contributes structure, density and length. In magnum, this architecture gains even more precision, depth and nobility.
Tasting notes
The colour is an intense pale yellow with luminous reflections, animated by a fine and persistent stream of bubbles. The nose is deep and complex, combining preserved lemon, ripe pear, white peach, summer flowers, delicate honey, hazelnut, toasted almond, fine pastry and lightly toasted brioche.
On the palate, the wine shows impressive volume, silkiness and depth, while retaining a clear line of freshness. The magnum format brings an additional sensation of texture and harmony, with a long, saline, chalky and energetic finish. This is a Grand Siècle of great presence: generous, refined and beautifully held by mineral tension.

Expression of Iteration 23
Iteration 23 is built around the balance between the richness of 2006, the structuring freshness of 2004 and the depth of 2002. The result is a particularly expressive Grand Siècle, broad and harmonious, supported by a mineral framework that extends the wine with elegance. The magnum format further enhances the sense of plenitude, slow evolution and refined complexity.
