Champagne “Latitude” Extra-Brut – Larmandier-Bernier
A generous and charming Champagne, expressing the southern side of Vertus
Terroir
Formerly released under the name “Tradition”, the Latitude cuvée takes its name from the precise origin of its grapes: parcels located in the southern part of Vertus, all lying on the same latitude. This area is known for its more generous soils, producing ripe, expressive Chardonnays with natural balance and roundness.
A non-vintage Champagne, Latitude is made exclusively from Chardonnay and includes around 40% of wines from the estate’s perpetual reserve, initiated in 2004. This reserve brings depth and stylistic continuity, while the Extra-Brut dosage preserves fruit purity and terroir clarity. It is the most approachable, rounded and festive expression of the range, without ever losing precision.
Tasting notes
Nose:
Open and inviting, with aromas of ripe citrus, yellow apple and pear, complemented by notes of white flowers, fresh brioche and a subtle chalky nuance.
Palate & Finish:
The palate is supple and generous, carried by a fine, elegant mousse. Ripe fruit and round texture are balanced by a saline freshness that gives structure and length. The long, mouth-watering finish confirms the convivial and celebratory character of this Champagne, equally suited to aperitif or the table.
