Terroir & Winemaking
The Les Champlots climat is located in the village of Saint-Aubin, in the Côte de Beaune, close to Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. It is classified as a Premier Cru and is rooted in predominantly clay-limestone soils, typical of the appellation.
This wine is produced by Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, based in Chassagne-Montrachet, from Chardonnay. The 2021 vintage, marked by low yields, favours freshness and precision. The wine is matured and bottled at the domaine.
Tasting Notes
Nose:
Clean and focused, with aromas of citrus, white fruit and discreet mineral notes.
Palate:
Straight and taut, showing good freshness, fine texture and a clear expression of terroir. The overall balance remains restrained and precise.
Finish:
Long and saline, driven by minerality and a structuring acidity, leaving an impression of clarity and precision.
