Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes 2019 — Domaine Hubert Lamy
This Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes 2019 from Domaine Hubert Lamy embodies a precise, luminous and intensely mineral expression of Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. Located on the higher slopes of Saint-Aubin, this Premier Cru combines limestone freshness, aromatic purity and the chiselled tension that has made the domaine’s finest white wines so highly regarded.
The 2019 vintage brings additional flesh and brilliance while preserving fine energy: ripe lemon, citrus zest, fresh pear, yellow apple, white peach, white flowers, almond, fine hazelnut, chalk, warm stone, light smoke and a long saline finish. The wine combines restrained generosity, precision and elegance, in a style that is pure, straight and profoundly Burgundian.
A great white Saint-Aubin of tension, purity and mineral relief. Les Frionnes 2019 combines the ripeness of the vintage with a clear limestone frame, offering a palate that is broad yet straight, precise in fruit and extended by a long, saline and refined finish. An elegant, energetic cuvée that beautifully reflects the Hubert Lamy style.
Terroir: Les Frionnes, altitude freshness and limestone precision
Les Frionnes is one of Saint-Aubin’s Premier Crus capable of producing Chardonnay of great finesse, shaped by limestone soils and an exposure that preserves freshness. The terroir gives slender, saline and precise wines, with marked minerality and fine ageing potential. At Hubert Lamy, this expression stands out through its poise, energy and balance between substance and tension.

Expression of the 2019 vintage
The 2019 vintage in Burgundy produced white wines that are ripe, expressive and balanced, with fine fruit concentration and preserved freshness in the great terroirs. In Saint-Aubin, this year combines volume, aromatic brilliance and mineral tension. Les Frionnes 2019 therefore retains fine precision while offering more generous substance and a long, saline and structured finish.
