Saint-Aubin 1er Cru “Murgers des Dents de Chien” Monopole Red 2018 – Armand Heitz
A high-altitude Pinot Noir, refined and tense, combining fresh red fruit, delicate spice and limestone-driven freshness
Terroir
Located on the upper slopes of Saint-Aubin, the 1er Cru “Murgers des Dents de Chien” takes its name from the murgers—piles of limestone stones characteristic of the site. The vineyard sits on thin, very stony limestone soils, giving wines that emphasize precision, energy and elegance rather than sheer power. Farmed as a monopole, this rare red expression highlights the finesse of Pinot Noir shaped by altitude and chalky soils.
Tasting Notes
