The Largillière vineyard is a discreet but outstanding Premier Cru in northern Pommard, where limestone-rich soils bring a more floral, refined expression of the appellation. At La Maison Romane, winemaker Oronce de Beler crafts a restrained and expressive wine using traditional methods: whole-cluster fermentation, gentle extraction, and aging in neutral oak barrels.
The 2010 vintage stands out for its freshness and precision. The nose reveals red berries, orange peel, mild spice and forest floor. On the palate, the wine is focused and elegant, with a fine tannic structure and vibrant acidity. A unique interpretation of Pommard – more tension and verticality than volume.
