Wide selection of anniversary vintages from 1924 to the present day
From one of Gevrey’s most historic Grand Cru vineyards, this wine reflects the northern, cooler terroir of Mazis. The Charlopin estate, established in 1977, produces this cuvée from over 50-year-old vines grown on limestone-clay soils.
The 2015 was vinified with partial whole-cluster fermentation and aged 16–18 months in French oak, with a significant proportion of new barrels, giving the wine structure and aromatic depth.
Nose: Dark cherry, raspberry liqueur, roasted coffee, black truffle, aged leather and wild herbs.
Palate: Broad and intense, with firm but polished tannins. Velvety mouthfeel, long mineral finish with spice and earthy depth. A robust, age-worthy Grand Cru.
