Bourgogne Rouge 2018 – Sylvain Pataille

Red wine — 100% Pinot Noir.
This Bourgogne Rouge 2018 reflects the elegance and purity of the Côte de Nuits. Refined, approachable, and beautifully balanced, it pairs perfectly with roast poultry, mushroom risotto, or soft cheeses.

Vineyard & Terroir

Crafted by Sylvain Pataille in Marsannay, this regional appellation comes from carefully selected parcels around Marsannay and the Côte de Nuits. The vines grow on limestone-rich soils with fine clay, which bring freshness, tension, and mineral precision to the wine. Farmed biodynamically with moderate yields, the grapes are vinified gently and aged with great care to highlight finesse and purity over power.

Tasting Notes

  • Color: bright, translucent ruby.
  • Nose: pure red berries (cherry, raspberry), floral notes, subtle minerality.
  • Palate: silky and elegant texture, fine tannins, well-balanced acidity. A vibrant, harmonious wine with a crystalline fruit profile.
  • Finish: long, fresh, and saline — a direct echo of its limestone terroir.

Cellaring & Service

  • Cellaring: 5 to 8 years.
  • Serving temperature: 15–16 °C.
  • Food pairings: roast poultry, veal, mushroom risotto, soft cheeses.
