Domaine Robert Chevillon
Located in the heart of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Robert Chevillon stands as one of the historic and benchmark estates of the Côte de Nuits. Founded in the early 20th century, the estate has built a stellar reputation through its meticulous terroir work, precise viticulture, and consistently refined winemaking. Today, it is run by Bertrand and Denis Chevillon, the fourth generation of the family.
Terroir & Vineyard
The estate covers around 13 hectares exclusively within the Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation, with an exceptional mosaic of some of the most renowned climats in the appellation. Vineyard management respects natural balances: controlled cover crops, light ploughing, moderate yields, manual harvesting, and minimal intervention both in the vineyard and the cellar.
Winemaking Philosophy
The approach is traditional and precise: full destemming, open-top fermentations with indigenous yeasts, long macerations, and careful élevage in oak barrels (20 to 30% new oak depending on the cuvée). The wines are celebrated for their depth, balance between concentration and freshness, and their remarkable aging potential.
