Founded in 1842, Niepoort is one of the greatest names in Portuguese wine, celebrated both for its iconic Ports and for its groundbreaking dry wines from the Douro. Based in Vila Nova de Gaia, the Niepoort family has guided the estate for five generations, with Dirk Niepoort now standing as its charismatic and visionary leader. A key figure in the renaissance of Portuguese wine, Dirk has expanded Niepoort into four major regions: Douro, Bairrada, Dão and Vinho Verde.
