Lucien Le Moine – The Art of Élevage and the Pure Expression of Terroir
A legendary micro-négociant where precision and craftsmanship reveal the soul of Burgundy’s greatest climats.
A Global Reference Born of a Singular Vision
Founded in 1999 by Mounir Saouma and Rotem Brakin-Saouma, Lucien Le Moine has become one of the most prestigious micro-négociants in Burgundy. Based in Beaune, the estate selects each year a handful of barrels from the finest climats of the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, with uncompromising standards of quality.
Philosophy & Winemaking
Lucien Le Moine’s approach is unique in Burgundy: full élevage on lees, without racking, in 100% new fine-grain oak barrels, with no fining or filtration. Slow fermentations in naturally cold, humid cellars produce wines of exceptional density, remarkable aromatic precision, and outstanding aging potential.
Wine Style
The white wines, made from Chardonnay, display subtle saline tension, creamy texture, and crystalline purity. The red wines, crafted from Pinot Noir, offer refined depth, silky texture, and exquisite aromatic elegance. Each cuvée is produced in minute quantities, adding to their rarity and singular character.
