Founded in 1955 by Maurice Dugat with the purchase of the Grange des Dîmes, the domaine is now led by Claude Dugat, supported by his children Bertrand, Laëtitia and Jeanne. Its reputation is built on precision, freshness, and elegant, pure wines.

Vineyard & Farming Practices

• Approx. 6 hectares split between estate-owned and leased parcels.
• Soil work, no herbicides; some parcels ploughed by horse.
• Organic and biodynamic-inspired viticulture (non-certified), with deep respect for natural balances.
• Manual harvest at optimal ripeness to preserve freshness and finesse.

Winemaking & Ageing

• 100% destemmed Pinot Noir; two-week maceration, gentle extraction by pigeage only.
• Aged in François Frères oak barrels with tailored new wood proportions: 100% for Grands Crus, ~75% for 1ers Crus, ~40% for Village, and one-year-old barrels for Bourgogne.
• Minimal or no fining; light filtration if needed, to preserve purity.

Signature Style

• Concentration without heaviness — bright fruit, silky tannins, lifted density.
• Freshness and saline tension define the finish.

• Small-scale production: ≈ 24,000 bottles/year depending on vintage.
• Wines show both early-drinking pleasure and 10–20 years of ageing potential (even more for Grands Crus).
