Founded in 1820, Domaine Albert Morot is one of the historic estates that helped shape the identity of Beaune. With a little over 8 hectares cultivated entirely under certified organic farming, the estate embodies an artisanal philosophy focused on clarity, straightness, and faithful expression of the Côte de Beaune’s climats.

In 2023, the arrival of the Poitrinal group and the collaboration with Pierre-Jean Villa marked the beginning of a new chapter: heightened precision, sharper expression, and an even more terroir-driven style.

Terroirs & Climatology – The noble heart of Beaune Premier Cru

The domaine is built on an exceptional parcel-based heritage composed almost exclusively of Beaune Premier Cru vineyards, complemented by a prestigious monopole in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

Each parcel is vinified separately to maintain the integrity of its identity:

• fermentations in wooden or stainless-steel vats,
• gentle extractions favouring grain and finesse,
• 18 months of ageing in French oak barrels,
• controlled use of new oak (around 50% for major cuvées),
• bottling with minimal intervention.

The aim: to reveal the natural tension of the soils, offer satin-like textures, and preserve the aromatic purity that defines great Beaune wines.
