Domaine Foradori — The benchmark of biodynamic wines from Trentino
A leading reference for Italian biodynamic wines, Domaine Foradori embodies authenticity, precision, and excellence in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. Founded in 1901 and profoundly transformed from the 1980s onward, the estate gained international recognition thanks to its uncompromising vision of high-end natural wine.
Located around Mezzolombardo, the vineyards lie on mineral-rich alluvial soils and benefit from an alpine climate moderated by Mediterranean influences. This unique terroir allows the estate’s flagship grape variety, Teroldego, to express remarkable depth, freshness, and elegance.
Biodynamic philosophy & natural winemaking
Certified Demeter since 2009, Domaine Foradori practices rigorous biodynamic viticulture, free from chemical herbicides and pesticides, with a strong focus on biodiversity and soil vitality. Winemaking is deliberately low-intervention: native yeasts, gentle extractions, and aging in amphorae, large casks, or neutral barrels depending on the cuvée.
Wine style
Foradori wines stand out for their purity, mineral tension, and strong sense of place. The Teroldego wines offer finely woven tannins and remarkable depth, while the white wines are precise, vibrant, and elegantly textured.
Signature cuvées
- Teroldego Foradori — The purest and most immediate expression of the grape, fresh, balanced, and elegant.
- Teroldego Sgarzon — Taut and mineral, sourced from gravelly soils, with great precision and energy.
- Teroldego Morei — Deeper and more structured, from clay-rich soils, aged in amphorae.
- Manzoni Bianco — A refined and luminous white wine, combining texture, freshness, and aromatic complexity.
Granato — The iconic wine of Domaine Foradori
Granato is the estate’s historic and iconic cuvée. Produced from very old Teroldego vines and made in extremely limited quantities, it represents the original vision of the domaine and played a key role in establishing its international reputation.
Denser, more structured, and built for long aging, Granato delivers remarkable depth, noble tannins, and outstanding longevity. A rare wine reserved for collectors and lovers of great cellar-worthy wines.
