A Singular and Inspiring Journey

A former food industry technician, Jérôme Galeyrand radically changed his life in the late 1990s to dedicate himself to wine. After training with Domaine Alain Burguet in Gevrey-Chambertin, he founded his own estate in 2002 in Brochon, starting with only 0.05 hectares in Les Retraits.
Today, his estate spans about 5 hectares, producing some of the most sincere and finely crafted wines of the Côte de Nuits — expressive, precise, and deeply human.

Distinct and Confidential Terroirs

The vineyards stretch across Brochon, Gevrey-Chambertin, Fixin, Marsannay, and Côte de Nuits-Villages, rooted in a mosaic of clay, marl, and limestone soils.
Old vines bring concentration and depth, while parcels such as Les Retraits, La Justice, Champs des Charmes, and Combe de Pré express their origin with remarkable clarity.

Organic and Terroir-Driven Viticulture

Certified organic since 2018, the domaine works the soils manually and avoids herbicides.
Grapes are hand-harvested and rigorously sorted, with natural grass cover and limited yields.
The goal: to capture each terroir’s soul with authenticity and restraint.

Precision in the Cellar

Fermentations are conducted with native yeasts, using a variable proportion of whole clusters.
Gentle extractions emphasize elegance over power, while ageing for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels (15–25% new wood) enhances freshness and purity.
Each wine reflects a balance of tension, depth, and seamless texture.
