Located in Fläsch, in the heart of the Bündner Herrschaft, Weingut Hansruedi Adank is one of the most emblematic estates of Switzerland’s new alpine generation. Founded in 1984 by Hansruedi and Rezia Adank, and today led by their son Patrick — trained notably in Burgundy and Champagne — the estate embodies a precise, thoughtful and terroir-driven vision rooted in high-altitude vineyards.
The Adank family crafts wines celebrated for their purity, alpine energy and crystalline elegance, making Fläsch one of the most sought-after villages in the Grisons for lovers of cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The estate covers around 6–6.5 hectares, exclusively located on the finest slopes of Fläsch: Spondis, Herrenacker, Fläscher Halde and am Berg. These parcels form a mosaic of micro-terroirs perfectly suited to finesse-driven grape varieties.
Key terroir characteristics:
These pure alpine terroirs give birth to wines with natural tension, precise fruit and a remarkable verticality — trademarks of the Adank style.
The estate follows an artisanal and deeply nature-respecting approach:
Each plot is treated as a cru in its own right, with the goal of capturing its truest possible expression. This coherent philosophy produces wines that are precise, deep and luminous.
Red wines are crafted with a clear Burgundian influence, adapted to the alpine identity of the fruit:
The result: ruby-bright reds with pure, intense fruit, fine chalky tannins, pronounced freshness and long, vertical structure. A true expression of mountain Pinot Noir.
White wines follow the same meticulous ethos:
The estate’s sparkling wine, Adank’s Brut, is considered a Swiss benchmark: extended lees ageing, minimal dosage, saline and refined profile.
Fläscher Pinot Noir (AOC Graubünden)
Village cuvée with a crisp, precise, delicately spicy style. A perfect introduction to the Adank universe.
Fläscher Pinot Noir Alte Reben
Old vines from the Fläscher Halde. Deep, textured, long and refined, with a marked mineral backbone.
Fläscher Pinot Noir Barrique
One of the estate’s emblematic wines. Generous fruit, velvety texture, great aromatic complexity with no heaviness.
Fläscher Pinot Noir Spondis
High-precision single-vineyard cuvée. Predominantly whole bunch. Floral, airy, long and vertical. A great wine for ageing.
Fläscher Pinot Noir Herrenacker
A structured, deep cru with chalky tannins and remarkable vertical energy.
Chardonnay am Berg & Fläscher Chardonnay
Taut, saline, chiselled whites. A pure alpine expression of Chardonnay.
Adank’s Brut
High-level sparkling wine. Fine bubbles, aromatic intensity, mineral freshness.
Weingut Hansruedi Adank embodies the rare fusion of Burgundian precision and the power of alpine terroirs. Through exemplary viticulture and meticulous site interpretation, the estate produces wines that are bright, deep and remarkably elegant.
A must-visit estate for lovers of great cool-climate Pinot Noir and high-altitude alpine wines seeking purity, finesse and mineral-driven tension.
